Crossing the border to Guinea Bissau
I took a shared taxi to Bissau from the garage in Ziguinchor for 4000CFA. The driver needed to navigate a potholed road, swerving on and off the tarmac to try to keep it as smooth as possible for the passengers. There were numerous police checks along the way, all of which the driver managed smoothly.
At the border we all got out and got our documents stamped for leaving Senegal. Then back in the taxi for a short drive to the Guinea Bissau office. My passport was stamped quickly and we were free to go.
This was another very smooth, friendly and no hassle experience.

Arrival in Bissau
The driver terminated the journey on the outskirts of the town, so a taxi was needed to go to the central area with the tourist hotels are. I gave the phone number of the hostel where I was staying to the driver so that he could get directions. 2000CFA.
