I really enjoyed my short stay in this town on the banks of the Casamance River.

There are remnants of the old French settlement around the port area ie. old colonial building either redeveloped as administrative departments or left to crumble. There is the incredible French Cultural Centre housed in a building ornately decorated and created to resemble the traditional Casamance village central meeting place.

Accommodation in Ziguinchor:
I stayed at the Hotel Kadiandoumagne where rooms were 35,000CFA including a buffet breakfast. The menu of the day was 10,000CFA.
