Cap de Llauset to Conangles

24 August 2022

I took an alternative route to start the day, over to a beautiful reservoir.

Then up over the Coll de Anglois. The descents are now causing me trouble with my left knee and its slow going. The positive thing is that I have to take my time, have plenty of stops and can take in the scenery. There is more grassland, lakes and occasional unmanned refuges amongst the mountains ranges.

Spent the last part of the day really needing to dig deep to keep going through the forested areas and down towards the road. I event chose to walk along the hard shoulder of the road for the last section - preferring the flat surface to being away from the cars.

A wonderful friendly refuge awaited, hidden in the woods and a welcomed shelter from the thunderstorm which started later afternoon.
