Refuge de Biados to Puen de San Chaime

Set of early into the fresh morning air and into the beautiful countryside in this area.

At the top of the pass today I met two Spanish hikers talking to two shepherds and we learnt a little more about their life on the mountains. There was a lot of scree on the descent so I was very slow coming down off the hill top.

It was good to be able to stop at lunchtime for a cup of tea at a refuge in the valley, before making the decent into the valley.

Ended up sharing a room with two Spanish hikers from the Basque country at a hostal above a bar/restaurant. Spent a great evening with two guys I'd met along the way sharing stories and planning the next sections.
