Parzan to Refuge de Biados

It was wonderful to sleep in a quiet room with clean bed sheets - the wonders of life.

Breakfast was served in the basement around a pool table.

I set off up a long track towards a lake and was passed by many other hikers including an energetic Scottish guy I'd seen earlier.

I felt irritated all day, mainly due to flies setting on my arms, ankles and buzzing around my ears.

Funny how a day can end so differently though - I stayed at the lovely refuge settled on a hillock with incredible views all around. I shared dinner with a wonderful group of people and we watched the sunset behind the mountains.
