Camp site further on from La Mina to Refugio de Lizara

11 August 2022

The walk this morning was spectacular.

Up through limestone cliffs and escarpments and past a beautiful lake.

The descending track passed two refugios, one occupied by a family with small children. Amazing that these children were able to hike to this altitude and what an experience - to spend a night here.

A welcoming refugio at Refugio de Lizara; great to see they do food and are open all day. Really friendly and a place to restock and rest.

Set off to find a hanging valley in which to camp. This ended up being just before the Collando del Bozo pass. A brilliant spot with water for washing and drinking.
