Tavascan to Areu

I have now been hiking the trail for 32 days with 2 of them as rest days.

It's amazing how you just get into a rhythm of waking up, getting ready, put the rucksack on your back and set off. You never know how the day will pan out or what you'll do.

I left Tavescan and headed up the hill and then along an ancient pathway towards the village of Boldis Sobira. There is a lot of climbing today to reach the pass mainly through forests and across bushland. The foresters are out prunning trees and clearing paths. Met a very energetic guy on a mountain bike riding over the pass. He made my attempts seem hard work and slow in comparison.

I dropped down towards the village of Areu - a gentler descent than most through the forest paths lined with lin needles.

My Dutch hiking companions were already sitting outside the old hostal in the village. This will be a perfect resting place for this day.
