Fez

26 September 2022

Another spectacular bus ride through the mountains and out onto the central plains of Northern Morocco.

This time the destination is Fez. This 13 century city has the most extensive old town network of alleyways lined with stalls selling anything and everything from fruit, meat and olives to leather ware, plastics and second hand clothes. Its a fascinating warren on merchandise, friendly market traders; a feast for the senses.

I have spent the afternoon, getting to know this old town area on the door step of the ornate Riad where I'll be staying this evening.
