Douala

Today I spent more time discovering the wonders of Douala. It is good to be able to wander around this city without the worries of safety like I had in Nigeria. Cameroon is certainly more relaxed and less edgy.

A wedding was taking place on the terrace of the hotel this evening. A couple currently living in Australia, had returned to their country of origin, Cameroon to celebrate with friends and relatives here. It was great to get an insight into how these weddings work and the intercultural complexities of many Cameroonian families today who are living globally.
