Sidi Ifni

23 October 2022

Today was market day at the interesting town of Sidi Ifni, just south of Mirhleft.

The market was of the more traditional type with everything laid out on the ground; huge piles of fresh fruit and vegetables, meat, spices, pottery, plastics, home appliances, clothes and an extensive area put aside to the selling of belongings "car boot style'. The town was busy and people had obviously come in specially to stock up on produce and necessary items.

Sidi Ifni was built in the 1930s as a military town on a cliff top so I was interested in the Art Deco architecture similar in many ways to that found in Casablanca.
