Busua

28 JANUARY 2023

Busua is a relaxed peaceful fishing village attracting European tourists, NGOs and volunteers. Even so, it was quiet and a wonderful place to read, walk the beach and sit with a fruit juice.

I stayed at the Ahanta Eco Lodge which was so luxurious compared to most of my homes. I rented room 7, a wooden construction with views of banana plants, a stylish decor and access to the garden and deck. It included a tasty breakfast and a home cooking evening meal if preferred. I loved the atmosphere and the peaceful ambience. What a treat. C600,000 per night

From here I walked the beach, visited the neighboring fishing village of Dixcove with its British fort and met Sarah for an update on their amazing project - the building of Peace Home.

I felt fully recovered, revitalized and re energized after this visit. Also inspired by Marissa - an Aussie, to visit the art galleries in Accra.
