Today I was out and about in the city. It's Sunday so I took pictures of churches and mosques. People were dressed up today and many were walking and playing around the beach area.

Eid-al Fitr was celebrated yesterday, so many families were continuing the festivities today.

Getting a visa for the Republic of Congo.

This visa can be obtained on the same day (60,000CFA) or next day (50,000CFA). This is for one month dated from the day you say you want to enter the country which is requested on the visa form. The form is issued at the office and you can fill this in as you wait.

You need:

1 confirmed hotel booking in Congo

1 photocopy of passport

1 photocopy of Gabon visa

1 photo

There is a photocopy stall next to the embassy if you need it - they want paper copies of the hotel booking too.

Getting a visa for the Democratic Republic of Congo and Angola.

I visited both embassies to get this information directly from the officers there. In both cases I was assured that the visas can be obtained from the respective embassies in Brazzaville.
